Les Mistonnes

Les Mistonnes is a proposal for a women’s cycling club, and a publisher of pro-cycling publicity. Les Mistonnes uses an ethos of friendly anarchy to encourage more women to cycle, despite the dangers posed by motor vehicles.

The name "Les Mistonnes" (pronounced lay-miss-ton) means 'the mischief makers' and comes from a film by Francois Truffaut called "Les Mistons" about a gang of boys antagonising a woman on a bike. Les Mistonnes are a gang of women on bikes antagonising the dominance of motorised traffic on city roads.
